This study aims to map research trends in vertical farming within the field of architecture through bibliometric analysis of publication data obtained from the Scopus database, using specific keywords and filtering criteria. The collected data were processed and analyzed using VOSviewer to generate visualizations of knowledge networks that have developed in recent years. Through keyword visualization, seven main thematic clusters were identified, namely: agriculture, controlled environment, cultivation, precision agriculture, crop production, agricultural systems, and vegetation. The results of the analysis indicate a significant increase in research trends during the period of 2020–2026, with a total of 1,625 relevant publications. The study also identifies a concentration of publications in subtropical countries with high population density, including China, the United States, India, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, Australia, and Spain, where vertical farming is considered a crucial solution for urban food security. This study is expected to strengthen the multidisciplinary integration between architecture and agriculture, as well as provide a reference for future research development.
